Arrive Gatwick airport and head for central London. We arrive
late morning local time, but in the "wee hours" US time.
We had several hours to kill, and took a bus tour, visited
_______Cathedral, and crashed in a small park. Departed from
Victoria Station for what was supposed to be a through trip
across the channel. After we had settled in for the night (as
best we could in our compartment), we were awoken to change to
the ferry?. In the haste, someone (Misty or Luanna?) left a bag,
and I helped her get it, barely making the transfer in time.
Between the time zone differences, and the jet lag, we were on
about 2 days with little sleep, so little was remembered until we
pulled into the train station at Köln.
Most of these images were taken from inside a speeding tourbus
with filthy windows, so the quality suffers.
Base of the 'Eros' statue at Picadilly Circus in central London.
Bldg in bkgd called 'Centrepoint' in central London (left) Part
of St Paul's cathedral (right)
Most of these were probably taken around Fleet Street.
?Near St. Pauls cathedral? (left) Houses of Parliament on the
left, 2 towers of Westminster Abbey on the right (right)
(right pic) One of the side walls of the grounds to Buckingham
Palace. This picture is very dated because uniform Police women no
longer have the hat with the white section, but it is now dark
blue (same as male colleagues).

Threadneedle Street
This sad old man, with his white hair and black suit, just seemed
to fit with this black statue and blackened pedestal. (left pic)
Either Hyde Park or Regents Park (right pic)
This is Westminster Bridge as you approach the Houses of
Parliament & 'Big Ben' on the left. (left pic) Part of
the Tower of London (right pic)
Probably the British Museum.
On the Embankment, OXO tower in background (right pic)
View of the Tower Bridge and HMS Belfast. London tower partially visible in trees to the left.
Charing Cross bridge, with Houses of Parliment, Big Ben in
background, Westminster Abbey at far right.
View of the Southbank Centre from the Embankment. The centre has
theatres, art displays, a movie museum, etc.
